Facebook TwitterI’m the sector leader agriculture for Business Climate Leaders. We are working on an internal campaign to promote the Growing Climate Solutions Act within CCL/BCL, and engage our volunteers to a) research how this bill will impact different sectors of the industry, and b) solicit support for H.R.763 with the combination of both bills.
We have one team focused on commodity farmers and the farm bureau, one on multi-crop / organic / specialty crop farmers. Could we ask you for some help to connect with farmers? There are a lot of questions how the GCSA can be designed to be fair and equitable across the board, with obvious differences in the capacity to sequester carbon.
My email is [email protected], phone is 760-449-4170. This bi-partisan bill is already being supported in both houses and by the farm bureau, but adamantly rejected by a host of NGOs who think that it will unfairly benefit corporate farmers. It would be most helpful to inform the political process of these issues in advance.
Thank you,
