Tesla outpaces Ford and GM

In April, Tesla, maker of premium electric vehicles, solar panels and energy storage, experienced a surge in shares that pushed its market cap past Ford’s before edging past GM a few days later. Walmart announces Project Gigaton

The retail giant recently announced Project Gigaton, an effort to remove 1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases from its supply chain by 2030. Walmart will be focusing on Scope 3 emissions — those that are a consequence of business operations but over which it doesn’t have direct control. The company will be launching an online toolkit to help suppliers better manage their energy, agriculture, waste, packaging and deforestation, and to design consumer products with a lower impact. Learn more
