Retailers sit at a unique place in the supply chain and have the ability to engage upstream and downstream, with suppliers and consumers—allowing them to exponentially increase the impact of their climate goals through value chain engagement.

In this breakout session, we’ll look at how retailers, distributors, and brands can work together to maximize their climate impacts. Erin Callahan will unveil the retailer toolkit to provide a concrete tool for retailers to use in engaging up their value chain. Brenna Davis will talk through their work to engage vendors, as the largest coop in the country with a strong climate record. KeHE will discuss how their food waste initiatives require engagement up and down the supply chain. Clif will join to talk through how they are piloting a retailer engagement project on climate, and how they have educated their sales team to talk climate with retailers.
