We Need YOUR VOICE to Prevent the Next Looming Crisis: Help Flatten the Climate Curve
We are at a turning point in our country’s history, where circumstances are forcing us to redefine what we stand for—and to get involved in advocating for those changes. It has never been more important to make sure climate is part of that picture, and we are asking this industry to play a vital role in making that case to Congress this fall.
Racial justice is core to the climate movement
I spent last week and this weekend listening and bearing witness to the powerful, unwavering public outcry across the country demanding an end to systemic, institutionalized police brutality and racism after the murder of George Floyd on May 25. It's felt gutwrenching, infuriating, and sometimes hopeful--but it hasn't felt new, as tragedies like this are horrifically common in American life.
Climate Day Virtual Resource Fair
We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times. While we weren't able to gather in person at Climate Day, we have found ways to share some of our programming virtually, like our CEO dialogue and National Co+op Grocers Climate Collaborative awards ceremony. A key component of Climate Day is our Resource Fair. During the day, we make space to highlight partners and solutions providers that can help companies go deeper in their climate goal-setting and actions.
We've provided a list of our key Resource Fair partners and information below. You can always find more information on our Resources and Partners pages too.
Our Plan for Building Back Better
Last Friday, we held a unique all-community call to shape the Climate Collaborative’s path forward from COVID-19. We were blown away by the response, as hundreds of you joined to plan for how our industry can work together to build back to better—better ways of doing business, ensuring supply chain stability, and protecting the planet and the people and communities we work with.
If you weren’t able to join, you can view the meeting in full here, and I really hope you will. We heard from environmental author and activist Bill McKibben, our partner Ceres, and our very own Nancy Hirshberg, a Climate Collaborative co-founder who is helping us build a vital climate response to COVID-19.
