unnamed.pngClean vehicle standards are an effective tool for states to strengthen the market for clean vehicles and ensure that consumers have access to purchase clean cars in their state. To date, California’s Advanced Clean Car (ACC) program, the model for state clean car standards, has been adopted by 13 other states and is under consideration by several more—including, most notably, MinnesotaNevada and Virginia. Meanwhile, states across the country are increasingly scaling up their efforts to promote cleaner trucks and buses, such as California’s Advanced Clean Trucks program and a recent multi-state initiative to scale up zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.

Please join Ceres for an educational webinar on clean vehicle standards and their value to states, consumers, and businesses. This webinar will provide a brief history and overview of the ACC program and discuss its many benefits for businesses and consumers, the environment, public health and the economy. We will also discuss three states that are currently undergoing processes to adopt the ACC program (Minnesota, Nevada and Virginia) and opportunities to engage and show your support. The webinar will conclude with an overview of recent state efforts to support the deployment of clean trucks and opportunities to engage and show your support at the state level, followed by a brief Q&A session.

Though a Biden Administration is likely to reinstate the federal fuel economy standards, growing momentum by states of ambitious clean vehicle standards will help to grow the market for electric vehicles, capture significant emissions reductions, and send a strong signal for the rest of the country.
