Programming:

10:15 am - Global Warming: Moving from Overwhelmed to Action

Whether a retailer, brand, distributor, supplier, broker, farmer or individual, there are actions to take to reverse global warming.  We are at a critical point in time and every action will make a difference. The Climate Collaborative will present the many paths, resources and collaborations available to have a positive impact.

In this session, you will learn about a consumer engagement campaign, a supply chain partnership, support for small and mid-size businesses, individual and business advocacy for sound climate policy, and net-zero and climate neutrality.

Don’t let not knowing what to do to stand in your way. Find out how you can commit, act and have impact – the future depends on it!

11:45 am - Fighting Climate Change by Reducing Food Waste: Strategies for Action

Reducing food waste would have a greater impact on climate change mitigation than alternative energy sources, transportation efficiency, green construction, and other better-known solutions – plus it has the potential for significant investment returns. In the U.S. alone, 35% of all food goes unsold or uneaten, causing 4% of GHG emissions and costing the economy $408B a year. This session will introduce a framework and key resources to take action now. Learn how your company can contribute by adopting food waste reduction strategies.
