Understanding Benefits and Barriers to Regenerative Farming Practices

Friday, September 28
10AM PT // 11AM MT // 12PM CT // 1PM ET

Join us as we dive into a few of the climate benefits that are being linked with organic farming, just one of many approaches to building soil carbon. Dr. Tracy Misiewicz, Associate Director of Science Programs at The Organic Center, will review new study findings that link improvements in soil carbon levels and overall soil health (i.e. biodiversity) with organic farming practices.
After these findings, we will continue to explore the actual or perceived barriers that can exist for producers when considering a transition to a new production system. This discussion will be rooted in findings gleaned from Oregon Tilth's Breaking New Ground study, presented by OTCO Executive Director Chris Schreiner.

In preparation for this meeting, please prepare examples of farm-level barriers that you have encountered as your company has tried to move forward with integrating more regenerative farming practices. These will be integral to our group discussion!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for joining this session and continuing to ensure that this is a valuable, dynamic climate action group!

Please email us to learn more or to join if your company has made an agriculture commitment.
