2025 Tracking Progress Annual Report

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Climate Collaborative’s Tracking Progress 2025 Annual Report offers an analysis of how businesses are translating climate commitments into tangible action. Leveraging data from our yearly Tracking Progress Survey, this report highlights the successes achieved while shining a critical light on the persistent challenges and significant shifts impacting climate resilience across the industry. We present these findings to the Climate Collaborative community to help us all catalyze joint problem-solving, identify collaborative pathways, and ensure our collective focus remains sharply targeted on the highest-impact interventions for the year to come.

Every year, respondents are faced with barriers to climate action. This past year, the most significant challenges to climate commitments were macroeconomic impacts—such as inflation, recession concerns, and general funding uncertainty. Most notable, supply chain shortages impacted 11% more respondents in 2025 than last year. Other sources of concern that have impacted implementation of commitments include geopolitical conflict, tariffs, loss of renewable energy incentives and various regulatory and policy changes that impact the industry.
