Aligned Sustainability Reporting Initiative

THE ALIGNED SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING INITIATIVE LAUNCHES TO SIMPLIFY SUSTAINABILITY DISCLOSURE IN FOOD AND GROCERY INDUSTRIES

Climate and sustainability reporting has become increasingly complex and burdensome, with companies juggling diverse stakeholder requests, incomplete data, and evolving regulations. The Aligned Sustainability Reporting Initiative (ASRI) was created to ease this burden by bringing greater coherence to climate and sustainability disclosures in the food and grocery industries.

Phase 1 one of the ASRI includes 20 companies. In January 2025, ASRI conducted an industry survey to gather qualitative and quantitative insights on the current state of reporting. The Working Group has since identified key pathways to streamline and standardize sustainability reporting in the food and grocery industries.

PHASE 1 GOAL: By April 2025, establish a clear framework for a more efficient, standardized sustainability disclosure process across the food and grocery sectors.
