Climate Advocacy

Our crucial lever for driving climate action at scale

While corporate engagement is vital, strong public policies are essential to ensure the progress needed to stay below the critical 1.5°C warming threshold—widely recognized as the tipping point for severe global consequences.

For companies in the grocery industry committed to climate justice, climate advocacy and policy engagement are critical. The grocery sector plays a key role in supply chains and consumption patterns, directly affecting greenhouse gas emissions and environmental sustainability. By engaging in climate advocacy, companies can help shape policies that support sustainable practices, reduce emissions, and build a more resilient, equitable food system. Advocacy also enables businesses to influence industry standards, promote transparency, and address environmental injustices within the supply chain.

To that end, the Climate Collaborative has launched campaigns for our broader community to engage their consumers in advocacy efforts.
