Manuel is a purpose-driven professional with over 15 years of expertise in sustainability, marketing, and operational risk management within the food manufacturing sector across North and Latin America. He is a board member of the Climate Collaborative in the United States and serves as a management board member of the National Zero Waste Council in Canada.
At Nature’s Path Organic Foods, Manuel spearheads initiatives that propel the company towards ambitious sustainability goals, including growing the organic sector, becoming zero waste certified, and addressing climate change. He drives purpose-driven programs such as sustainable supply chain management, sustainable packaging, team member sustainability education, community engagement, GHG emissions reduction, and corporate philanthropy. Additionally, Manuel collaborates cross-functionally to shape the Nature’s Path Organic Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) roadmap, setting goals and action plans that impact culture, consumers, and community.
Manuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University (Caracas, Venezuela), and is an accredited Environmental Professional by ECO Canada and a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
