I hope you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Amid the challenges this year has presented, I have never been more grateful for you and the community we've built at the CC. Thank you for your continued dedication to climate advocacy and action.
It's incredible to see the 2,500+ strong climate commitments you've made to date--on packaging, regenerative agriculture, food waste, and more. In the next year, we want to increase our impact even more. With your help, we have a real opportunity to build an ambitious national response to climate change as part of the COVID economic recovery. In 2018, we shared details on Happy Family Organics’ regenerative agriculture farmer training pilot. The program set out to provide free technical support and guidance to farmers in their supply chain on how they could shift to practices that can help store more carbon in the soil, improve watershed health, support biodiversity while also improving overall soil health and land productivity. Two years later, they've completed a second pilot and have now launched a Regenerative Farmer Fund to provide ongoing support to farmers in their supply chain. Read about their progress here! |
